Forced Fold Amplitude and Sill Thickness Constrained by Wireline and 3-D Seismic Data Suggest an Elastic Magma-Induced Deformation in Tarim Basin, NW China

Disparities between fold amplitude (A) and intrusion thickness (Hsill) are critical in identifying elastic or inelastic deformation a forced fold. However, accurate measurements of these two parameters challenging because the limit separability detectability seismic data. We combined wireline data 3-D from TZ-47 exploring area Tarim Basin, Northwest China, to accurately constrain total sills that induced roof uplift terrain. Results measurement show is 155.0 m. After decompaction, original penetrated by well T47 ranged 159.9 225.8 m, which overlaps stack recovered method (171.4 m) log (181.0 m). Therefore, at likely be elastic. In contrast, outer characterized shear-style deformation, indicating marginal area. It suggested interbedded limestone layers would play an important role strengthening layers, preventing during emplacement intrusive magma.
